How can you be sure that God is calling you into missionary service?  On today's Footsteps, TWR's Doug Gregson puts it this way: "You have to be very 'in tune' with what God wants you to do, and it is a step of faith."  I think if you meditate on the following two verses, then you'll have a better understanding of what Greg means:

"I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own."  (John 10:14, NKJV)

"And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice."  (John 10:4, NKJV)

As we grow closer to Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and through prayer and the study of His Word, we will naturally come to recognize or "know His voice."  Then, when Jesus says, "Follow Me," it will only be a question of obedience.
