Some so-called "media experts" are of the opinion that people don't listen to radio anymore.  However, according to a report by Statista of radio listeners in the United States, "Men who were 18 years or older listened to the radio for 876 minutes, or 14 hours and 35 minutes, during an average week in March 2018."(1)  That's over two hours a day!  And, that figure increases when we talk about radio listenership in other parts of the world such as Central Asia.

On today's Footsteps, TWR's Nathan Anderson paints a picture of radio listeners who live in the rural regions of the 'Stan countries.  He points out that they live life at "a much slower pace, so they take the time to actually listen to programs. ... They will listen to two or three hours of radio every day especially if it's in their own language."

Actual statistics as well as in-home, face-to-face research bears witness of the fact that people still listen to radio for extended periods of time.  That's why radio ministries like TWR are vitally important for spreading the Gospel around the world.
