According to Pavel Shifman, it has become increasingly difficult to openly share the Gospel in Russia.  On today's Footsteps, he explains, "There are some restrictions, but you can live with this."  I certainly don't welcome government restrictions or any type of persecution, but I must admit, I find Pavel's comments inspiring.  They actually remind me of the apostle Paul's words in his first letter to the Corinthians: "When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure" (1 Corinthians 4:12, ESV).  If I am ever faced with growing religious restrictions, I hope that I will be able to join Pavel and Paul in saying that I can "live with" or "endure" it.
