Scottish theologian James S. Stewart (1896-1990) was passionate about global missions.  He believed ...

"The concern for world evangelization is not something tacked on to a man's personal Christianity, which he may take or leave as he chooses.  It is rooted in the character of the God who has come to us in Christ Jesus.  Thus, it can never be the province of a few enthusiasts, a sideline or a specialty of those who happen to have a bent that way.  It is the distinctive mark of being a Christian."(1)

On today's Footsteps, Susie Pek, the global ministry director for TWR Women of Hope, takes us to her home country of Brazil.  She enthusiastically gives examples of the missionary spirit of the Church in Brazil.  Missionaries brought the Gospel to Brazil, and now, "the distinctive mark" of the believers in this South American country is that they eagerly are going out from Brazil and carrying the Good News of Jesus around the world.  May the Lord Jesus be praised for what He is doing through these many Brazilian missionaries!
