Living in the Love of God
Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? – Romans 8:35
Paul asks in this Scripture, “Is anything powerful enough to separate us from God’s love?” The only answer is no. Nothing is strong enough to prevent us from being loved by God. This is true regardless of how we feel. Remember, feelings don’t always tell the truth.

For example, have you ever yielded to temptation and become angry with a driver who cut in front of you in traffic? You may have shouted, “What do you think you’re doing?” After you drive a little farther, Satan whispers to you, “See, you really aren’t a close disciple of Jesus because disciples don’t act that way.”
Just because we yield to a temptation doesn’t mean God loves us less. Your burst of anger doesn’t fit who you are in Christ, but it can’t prevent God from loving you.
When you do realize you have sinned against Him, acknowledge it, ask Him to forgive you, and know that He will (1 John 1:9). Satan wants you to feel as though God has tossed you aside. He will fill your mind with thoughts of how bad you are, hoping you will become discouraged and give up. Don’t fall for his lies.
Jesus is the Shepherd of your heart, soul, and life. He loves you with an everlasting love.
