As you listen to today's Footsteps, keep these verses from 1 John in mind:

"By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.  But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?  Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth." (1 John 3:16-18, ESV)

"Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us." (1 John 4:11-12, ESV)

"And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother." (1 John 4:21, ESV)

I think the point is pretty obvious, isn't it?  As believers, we must demonstrate the love of God to those around us.  That's how they can "see" God!  And Ken Cummins' testimony on today's program is an excellent example of this Biblical truth.
