Life on Life
"It's life on life, ultimately, as to how Christians grow," maintains TWR's Lauren Libby on today's Footsteps. He's talking about discipleship. Some use the term mentoring. The apostle Paul put it this way in his letter to the Philippians: "The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you" (Philippians 4:9, NKJV). As the spiritual father of the Philippian church, Paul discipled these believers with both his talk and walk. If you are a mature believer, find someone to pour your life into. If you are a new believer, find someone who will help you grow in your faith. Listen to that person's words. Watch that person's actions. Learn from that person's heart and attitudes. That's what Lauren calls "life on life."
