Silent People
As a Christian broadcaster, I have often prayed, "Lord, use me today in the lives of people that I will likely not meet until Heaven." On today's Footsteps, my TWR colleague and friend, Esteban Larrosa of RTM-Uruguay, talks about the many listeners in South America who have been listening for decades "but never gave us any kind of feedback." He points out that sometimes, "people are silent." Now, I admit that it's very encouraging when listeners respond and tell us how God is using the programs in their lives, but we must not let their comments be our ultimate motivation. Our motivation or our calling at TWR is "to reach the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced." We don't always have the privilige of seeing that "lasting fruit." Still, we continue to faithfully share the Good News of Jesus with the world and trust that God is changing lives through us.
