Often, the term "going south" has a negative connotation. Likely, the intended meaning of "going south" is that something is headed in the wrong direction, that a plan is falling apart, or that a company's stock is declining in value.  However, on today's Footsteps, when Geoff Kooistra says that Clarence Jones sensed God's "call to go south with radio," the result was very positive.  We're talking about the birth of missionary radio station HCJB in Quito, Ecuador.  Through the years, only the Lord knows how many millions of people around the world have come to know Christ as a result of "going south with radio."
