Why would Kevin White repeatedly lead short-term mission trips to India?  On today's Footsteps, Kevin answers that question when he passionately states, "because the love of Christ compels us!"  The apostle Paul used this phrase in his second letter to the Corinthians:

"For the love of Christ compels us, since we have reached this conclusion: If one died for all, then all died.  And he died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the one who died for them and was raised ... Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us.  We plead on Christ’s behalf: 'Be reconciled to God.'"  (2 Corinthians 5:14-15,20, CSB)

So, as believers in Jesus, as His "ambassadors," do you and I feel compelled to share the love of Christ with people next door and around the world?  It's worth some self-examination.
