The Requirement of Stewards
"Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful" (1 Corinthians 4:2, ESV). As veteran Christian broadcaster Roger Lonnquist points out on today's Footsteps, "If we have something as serious as the Gospel, we have to share it." So the question that we must ask ourselves is, "How serious do we consider the Gospel to be?" It's truly a matter of salvation and everlasting life in Heaven OR condemnation and an eternity in Hell.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God." (John 3:16-18, ESV)
So, as stewards of the Gospel, we must faithfully tell others about Jesus. As you are reading this blog, let me ask you: Do you believe in Jesus? Do you have questions about your eternal future?
