"When you have people with changed hearts, of course they will make a difference in their communities," asserts Storly Michel of Radio 4VEH in Haiti.  It starts with an individual's salvation, and then that person's relationship with Christ begins to affect every part of his or her life.  This impact on an individual's life, family, work, and community is a result of the preeminence of Christ.

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.  All things were created through Him and for Him.  And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.  And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he may have the preeminence."  (Colossians 1:15-18, NKJV)

You see, when we surrender to Christ, the One who created all things, who is greater than all things, and who holds all things together, His divine and sovereign influence in our lives will individually and corporately impact our surrounding community.  Storly is right!
