Imagine that you are trying to start a ministry in a region that has absolutely no foundation in Christianity.  It would be extremely difficult, wouldn't it?  That was the situation in the early 1990s in Bulgaria for Stoyko Petkov and Studio 865 (TWR's national partner in Bulgaria).  According to Stoyko on today's Footsteps, "We started, not from zero, we started from minus ten."  Having to start with obstacles already in your way is tough!  But as you'll hear on today's program, God has blessed and expanded the ministry of Studio 865.  And, if God calls you to a particular ministry, He will give you the wisdom, strength, and direction to overcome the barriers that you will face.  Here are two verses that might help:

"He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it."  (1 Thessalonians 5:24, ESV)

"For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.  And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.  Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?"  (1 John 5:4)
