Evangelism is vital, but it's just the first step in the process of making disciples.  As TWR's Esteban Larrosa explains on today's Footsteps, we must go "one step farther."  So, what does the discipleship process look like?  And, how can TWR assist in making disciples?

According to Dann Spader in his book Growing a Healthy Church, "A disciple is literally a follower, a pupil, a learner, an apprentice.  He is one who has dedicated not only to follow his master but also to become like Him."(1)  Dann Spader's definition of discipleship explains well the calling of TWR: "To reach the world for Christ by mass media so that lasting fruit is produced."  What we call "lasting fruit" is an ever-growing disciple of Jesus, and TWR is directly involved in making disciples by broadcasting in-depth, verse-by-verse Bible teaching programs in over 200 languages around the world.
