On today's Footsteps, TWR's Branko Bjelajac points out that many people in Africa are "more sensitive" to spiritual warfare "because they understand the world of spirits."  I admit that I often don't recognize that there is a spiritual battle taking place around me.  I generally don't look to see if Satan is hiding behind every rock.  However, spiritual warfare is very real!  Here's how Paul describes it in Ephesians 6:12 (ESV):

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."

Thankfully, Paul then goes on to describe how we can "stand against the schemes of the devil" (Ephesians 6:11, ESV).  He calls it "the whole armor of God."  I encourage you to study all about it in the rest of the chapter.
