"My Dad spoke very highly of several extended family members who were missionaries," said the late Dave Fisher on today's Footsteps as he remembered back to his childhood.  "It seemed to me that this was the most exalted position that you could possibly aspire to."  Later, God used those early missionary seeds planted by his dad to call Dave into his unique position as a missionary scientist and editor of the TWR radio program Truth in the Test Tube.  Personally, I don't know the long-term plans that God has for my two boys, but as a family, we read, watched, and listened to missionary biographies, and we continue to take advantage of opportunities to spend time with TWR missionaries from around the world.  Like Dave Fisher's father, I want my sons to have a heart and passion for missions and to view the missionary profession as a high calling from God.
