On today's Footsteps, Dan Warne, the host and Bible teacher on Haven Ministries' El Faro de Redencion, remembers one of his trips into Cuba.  Dan tells the story of their team's bus being driven across "this old bridge" while the townspeople were just staring at them.  Why?  You really must listen to the program.  But first, let me ask you, have you ever been on a short-term mission trip?  And, did your trip leader give you a speech about the need for flexibility because of the unexpected?  Honestly, it's normal for things not to go as planned on a foreign mission trip.  But at the same time, God seems to always be gracious in those situations.  I'm reminded of one of my favorite verses, Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV):

"Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’"

As for today's example, it sounds like our gracious God came to the rescue of Haven's mission team in Cuba by upholding that old bridge with His "righteous right hand!"
