I met Peter in Africa.  Peter was involved in the distribution of wind-up radios through TWR-Malawi.  I asked Peter what he would like to say to the people who had donated the radios.  He replied by saying, "You haven't done a small thing.  It's a great thing.  It may look small, but it's a great thing."  

I'm reminded of one of Jesus' parables:

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.  It’s the smallest of all the seeds, but when grown, it’s taller than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.”  (Matthew 13:31-32, CSB)

You see, when you purchase a radio for someone in Africa, that small gift could have a long-lasting ripple effect.  Not only will the recipient listen to it, but his or her family, neighbors, and possibly a budding church group might use it as well.  And, as these listeners learn from the teaching of God's Word through that radio, imagine the impact they could have on their families, places of work, and even society.  Future generations could be blessed by your gift of that single radio.
