Today's Footsteps is all about personal evangelism.  On the program, Lonnie Berger, TWR's Global Men's Ministry Director and author of the Every Man A Warrior series, gives us some excellent and biblical advice.  He points to 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV):

"But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord.  Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect ... "

It's true.  It's important to keep a respectful demeanor and to use gentle speech as you share your faith.  Even if the other person becomes confrontational or hostile, don't fall into the trap of a heated debate.  Remain calm as you speak.  Why?  Here's one more verse for you:

"A gentle answer turns away wrath,
 but a harsh word stirs up anger."  (Proverbs 15:1, NIV)
