If you were to tour the TWR America's Headquarters, you would notice a display on one wall that talks about "overcoming barriers."  On today's Footsteps, TWR's Shawn Boyd details some of the barriers that complicate the spread of the Gospel, but he also points out how media ministries like TWR are well-positioned to overcome those barriers.  Ultimately however, it's not our clever strategies that hurdle these potential barriers, it's Jesus Christ Himself.  Take a look at this description of Jesus' power and authority in John 1:4-5 (NIV):

"In him (Jesus) was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

The New Living Translations puts verse 5 this way:

"The light shines in the darkness,
    and the darkness can never extinguish it."

In the end, the supremacy of Jesus guarantees us victory in the Great Commission no matter what barriers are placed in our way.  That's why at TWR we can boldly declare, "Hope knows no barriers."
