I've never forgotten my first trip to Kenya.  One of my favorite memories from that week in Africa was worshipping with fellow believers in a grove of acacia trees.  The Holy Spirit seemed to be blowing through our gathering of about 300 people uniting us in praise as well as convicting us of sin.  We saw several come to Christ that afternoon.  It was powerful!

Marli Spieker, founder of TWR Women of Hope, had a similar "amazing experience" under a huge mango tree in Haiti.  You must listen to her description of that event on today's Footsteps.  But don't stop there.  Next, I encourage you to pray about taking a short-term mission trip in the near future and experiencing this type of scene for yourself.  It will change you!
