We Want to See Christ
"We want to see Christ when we approach Scripture," explains Dan Warne of the radio program El Faro de Redencion on today's Footsteps. You see, we find Jesus throughout the Bible--from Genesis to Revelation. And Dan and I are not the only ones who make this claim. In fact, Jesus himself pointed out this fact to the two disciples who were traveling down the road to Emmaus. Remember? "While they were talking and discussing together, Jesus himself drew near and went with them. But their eyes were kept from recognizing him" (Luke 24:15-16, ESV). During their journey, Jesus told them, "And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself" (v. 27). Wow! I wish I had been on the Emmaus road with Jesus that day. Imagine all of the theological questions that Jesus answered during their conversation. I'm sure that those two disciples, from that moment on, never failed to see Christ throughout Scripture!
