When I have experienced difficult seasons in my life, I have often wondered, "How do non-Christians cope with pain and suffering?"  Without the love of Jesus, without the comfort of the Holy Spirit, and without the certain hope of eternal life, how can anyone find peace in the midst of deep trials?  On today's Footsteps, TWR President Lauren Libby points out that many people, possibly including our friends and family members, are "depressed," "don't think there is a future," and "don't have a lot of answers."  Frankly, the tribulations of this world have frightened them.  They are fearful.  But, as believers in Jesus, we have the answer.  We have the assurance that our Lord is with us every minute of every day, walking with us, uplifting us, and speaking words of peace to us.  In John 16:33 (ESV), He says, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation.  But take heart; I have overcome the world."  Let's share that message with others!
