"We still really are in a dark stage.  We need spiritual awakening," explains Dr. Evgeny Bakhmutsky who serves as the pastor of Russia Bible Church in Moscow.  In reality, Russia is not the only "dark" place in the world.  Truly, the world is filled with darkness, but there is good news, and that Good News is Jesus!  Look at this description of Jesus, the Word, in the first chapter of John:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life, and the life was the light of men.  The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."  (John 1:1-5, ESV)

So, while there is darkness in our world, there a light that always overcomes darkness--Jesus!  He is the answer for everyone in every country ... including the people and nation of Russia.
