During today's conversation with Anne Graham Lotz on Footsteps, I asked her how a person can prepare for greater service in God's kingdom?  Part of her answer really jumped out at me--"if you are willing ... then God will use you."  I believe most of us are sincere when we say that we are willing to follow Jesus, that is, in a general sort of way.  We're willing to follow Him as long as WE get to decide when and where we want to follow Him.  But, what happens when Jesus clearly calls us out of our comfort zones?  Are we really willing to follow HIM to a specific place and to minister to a particular group of people to accomplish a certain task?  In those instances, are we truly willing to respond as Isaiah did in Isaiah 6:8--"Here am I!  Send me"?  Maybe it's time for some serious self-evaluation.
