In recent years, Venezuela has been experiencing an economic crisis.  But according to TWR's Annabel Torrealba, who is a native Venezuelan, "it's the perfect moment" to reach her home country with the Gospel.  Why?  Because God works through pain and suffering.  Take a look at these two quotes:

"God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our conscience, but shouts in our pains: It is His megaphone to rouse a deaf world."  C.S. Lewis (1)

"Though my natural instinct is to wish for a life free from pain, trouble, and adversity, I am learning to welcome anything that makes me conscious of my need for Him."  Nancy Leigh DeMoss Wolgemuth (2)

While the situation in Venezuela is extremely difficult, this present suffering is forcing millions of people to discover their "need for Him."  God is shouting through "His megaphone" of pain, and thankfully, many Venezuelans are listening.  Ultimately and eternally, that is a very good thing!  So, I agree with Annabel that now is the perfect time to introduce the people of Venezuela to our Savior and Friend, Jesus.
