Usuage of "cool" as a slang term became widespread in the 1950s and 1960s, and we've been using it ever since.  I've often referred to a new or groundbreaking car design as "cool."  I'm sure that I've also referred to people I've liked as "cool."  However, I especially like the way my TWR colleague Shawn Boyd uses the term on today's Footsteps.  Speaking of the way God is using TWR's powerful radio signals to make disciples of Jesus around the world, Shawn exclaims, "It's the coolest thing."  Think about it for a moment.  It's not just the technology of radio that's "cool," "the coolest thing" is that we have the honor of partnering with God in such an amazing work.  Our creator, the God of the universe, has called us, equipped us, and is opening doors for us to share the Gospel with people on the other side of the globe.  Truly, it's humbling, and it's really cool!
