According to "William" on today's Footsteps, Africans say that "you have to take Jesus with both of your hands."  What does that mean?  It's pretty simple--you can't hold on to Jesus with one hand and an idol or several idols with the other.  But, you say, "I don't worship any idols."  Let me ask you, as well as myself, are we dwelling so much on a car, house, work, a hobby, or maybe even our children that God is no longer the focus of our hearts?  So, are we taking hold of Jesus with one or two hands?
