Have you ever asked a hurting friend or neighbor, "Is there anything I can do to help?"  What response have you received?  For me, most of the time I hear, "No, we're fine," "We're okay right now," or "Thanks but we'll let you know if we need anything."  Basically, that person, couple, or family is not comfortable with letting you get any closer to them and their current situation.  However, have you ever tried, "Can I pray for you?"  And, I'm talking about praying for them right then and there!  It's hard to tell someone, "No, don't pray for me."

On today's Footsteps, TWR's Global Men's Ministry Director Lonnie Berger talks about this very scenario.  I think you'll find it helpful!
