"Tonight, the Taliban are in Afghanistan, so is TWR.  One party speaks anguish.  The other party speaks hope."  That's the way TWR President Lauren Libby opens today's Footsteps.  It's true.  Daily, TWR is speaking hope--the love of Christ--from our PANI transmitter to the people of Afghanistan.  These verses apply here:

"And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.  Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God.  So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. ... There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.  For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.  We love because he first loved us." (1 John 4:14-16a & 18-19, ESV) 

While Afghanistan is a country filled with anguish and fear, TWR continues to proclaim the love of Christ which "casts out fear," and that's good news!
