Hysterical and Hurt
On today's Footsteps, "Timothy," a missionary to Indonesia tells the story of an unbelieving woman who was "hystical and hurt" when she found out that her husband had been unfaithful to her. In her time of greatest need, she called Timothy's wife. Why? Because the two ladies had become friends through an excercise class.
There certainly is a lesson for you and me in today's story. As Christians, we should be building relationships with unbelievers. And when these unbelieving friends experience an hour of crisis, when they are "hysterical and hurt," don't be surprised when they contact you. In that type of situation, may God give you the gracious and comforting words that you will need to minister to your friend, and in time, to introduce him or her to Jesus.
