Why Was I Born a Girl?
We hear Hasna's story on today's Footsteps. Hasna lives in the North African country of Morocco, and because of the gender-related persecution of her culture, this 20-year-old woman is asking, "Why was I born a girl?" Can you blame her for her question? Can you hear the hurt that's in her heart? While we can't quickly and easily change the attitudes of her society, through TWR's Women of Hope radio program, we can point Hasna to a loving Heavenly Father who would never keep her a prisoner in her own home. The TWR staff can remind her of Isaiah 61:1 (NASB):
"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound."
Please pray for Hasna!
