MTW missionary Andrew Lupton defines "expatriates" or "expats" as "people who are living in a country that doesn't match their passport."  I must admit that I haven't given much thought to where expatriates go to church.  But, for a family that is living in a different part of the world other than their home country, life can be challenging.  So, a military or diplomatic family certainly needs the encouragement of a church body as much or more than they needed one back home.  That's why I'm thankful for Andrew Lupton who is ministering to this unique group of people in Bogota, Colombia at United Church of Bogota.
