Hurricanes, earthquakes, heart attacks, cancer, and yes, the COVID-19 pandemic.  On today's Footsteps, TWR's Shawn Boyd refers to these sudden difficulties as "unexpected things," and he rightly points out that they often lead us to some "really hard places."  So, what are we to do when we find ourselves in those "really hard places?"  Here's a verse for you to memorize:

"Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer."  (Romans 12:12, ESV) 

That advice might sound simplistic, but it is a good place to start.  Plus, it's God's inspired Word.  It's truth!  Cling to it.
