As TWR's Branko Bjelajac points out on today's Footsteps, "... in the country of Belarus ... the situation continues to be unstable after some pro-democratic demonstrations were stopped in blood."  To support the people of Belarus, TWR is broadcasting "messages of hope and peace and reconciliation."  But, we're not talking about some generic, secular version of hope and peace.  And when we speak of reconciliation, we're not merely saying, "Can't we all just get along?"  No, our messages about hope, peace, and reconciliation are all centered around Christ.  To accompany today's program, let me give you three passages of Scripture as examples:

HOPE--"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!  According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."  (1 Peter 1:3, ESV)

PEACE--"But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.  For he himself is our peace ..."  (Ephesians 2:13-14a, ESV)

RECONCILIATION--"All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.  Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.  We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God."  (2 Corinthians 5:18-20, ESV)

Before we can experience true hope, everlasting peace, and genuine reconciliation, we first must be reconciled to God, and that can only happen through Jesus Christ!  Have you been reconciled to God through Jesus?  If not, click on the link below about Knowing God.
