I was born into a Christian family.  My parents as well as my grandparents were believers in Jesus.  The same can be said for Timothy.  We learn about Timothy's family history in 2 Timothy 1:5 (ESV) where Paul writes,

"I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well."

Yevgeny Bakhmutsky, pastor of Russia Bible Church in Moscow, can claim the same Christian heritage, but there is one huge distinction--Yevgeny's family has experienced extreme persecution.  You will hear the story on today's Footsteps, and as you listen, thank the Lord for His persevering grace which has upheld this faithful Russian family through the generations.
