As a 17-year-old new believer in Christ, TWR's Annabel Torrealba made a promise to the Lord.  On today's Footsteps, she explains, "I committed with God to use my best years, the best years of my life, to serve Him."  When I recorded this interview, I was instantly reminded of the stewardship principle of "firstfruits" that is found throughout the Old Testament.  For example, in Exodus 23:19a (NIV), the Israelites were commanded to "Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God."  Notice, not only were they told to offer the first part of their harvest, but they were instructed to offer "the best" of that first part.  Like the Israelites, and like Annabel, may we all give the best of everything, including the best years of our career, in service to our gracious God.
