On today's Footsteps, TWR's Branko Bjelajac talks about what he calls the "Faith Police" in Iran.  The thought of a "faith police" is very troubling, but should we be surprised?  Biblically speaking, the "faith police" have been around for centuries.  Remember in John chapter 18, along with the group of Roman soldiers who came to arrest Jesus, there were "officers from the chief priests and the Pharisees" (v.3) or as they are later described, "officers of the Jews" (v. 12).  I think these men would qualify as "faith police" which is just another way that Jesus can empathize with the troubles we experience in this life.
