Pastors work hard.  Weekly, they are involved in sermon preparation, meetings, counseling, hospital visitation, marriages, funerals, worship services, and church events.  If that list wasn't long enough, many pastors also personally reach out to people who have recently visited their church.  It could be a note in the mail, a phone call, or sometimes a visit to their home.  While a pastor is limited by time and energy in the number of personal contacts he can make, Christian radio isn't.  God can speak through a radio station or network and reach thousands or even millions of listeners at the same time ... everyday!  As Galcom International's Tim Whitehead explains on today's Footsteps, "it's the daily touch" of the Gospel that helps individuals grow in their faith.  That's why radio is such an effective tool in both evangelism and discipleship.  It's also why Christian radio should be a pastor's best friend!
