From prison, the apostle Paul asks Timothy, "When you come, bring the cloak that I left with Carpus at Troas, also the books, and above all the parchments" (2 Timothy, 4:13, ESV).  Obviously, Paul had very few personal possessions in his prison cell.  The same can be said for inmates serving time in prisons in the Kenya.  On today's Footsteps, TWR's Wayne Craig describes his experience of visiting several Kenyan facilities.  "They don't have things in their prisons; they do have a blanket ... and a five-gallon plastic bucket."  That's it!  But now, like Paul, they have some books--specifically the Every Man A Warrior series--and "above all" a Bible.  Please pray that a spiritual awakening would sweep through these African prisons!
