We Get so Myopic
When I'm describing Footsteps to radio station managers and program directors, I point out that this two-minute daily feature is all about the Great Commission. By spotlighting what God is doing around the world, the goal of Footsteps is to inspire listeners to get more involved in global missions. The reality is that for many believers, their perception of the Kingdom is way too small. By viewing Christianity primarily through the narrow lens of their local church, they miss out on the incredible greatness of our Almighty, Omniscient, Omnipresent, Wonder-working, Never-sleeping, Ever-loving, Eternal, and Holy God. As TWR President Lauren Libby observes on today's program, God is "doing an awful lot" around the world these days, but "we get so myopic in what we're doing" that we miss seeing His marvelous hand at work. My hope and prayer is that as you listen to Footsteps and as you hear one God-story after another, that you will excitedly devote yourself to the Great Commission both locally AND abroad.
