Christian Radio Rehab
It's common for people to listen to Christian radio at home, at work, and in the car. I've also heard of Christian radio being played over large speakers in businesses and on public streets. And, at TWR, we often hear stories of small groups and churches corporately listening to Christian programs. But on today's Footsteps with guest Gregg Harris of Thru The Bible, I learned for the first time that Christian radio is being used as curriculum in drug rehabilitation centers! We should not be surprised. You see, rehabilitation by definition involves restoring or improving someone's condition. But in the case of Jesus and His Word, we're going much further. We're talking about salvation and transformation. For instance, "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV) Just think about that verse in the context of drug and alcohol rehabilitation!
