Our Omnipotent God and Perfect Judge
(NEW: You can now listen to today’s MY Devotional on Leading The Way’s daily devotional podcast!)
In Psalm 139 we see that our God is omnipotent, able to create life itself. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:13-14). How amazing is our God who designed everything from the tiniest cell in our bodies to the grandest star in the universe!
David concludes his psalm by acknowledging God’s perfect judgment. God loves His children enough to purify and refine their hearts. “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24).
Have you lost your wonder and awe of God? Do you take the intricacies of His creation for granted? Do you gloss over His words when reading the Bible? Stop today and praise God for His amazing nature.
Prayer: God, it is so amazing to think of all that You have created! Thank You for being our Creator God as well as our perfect judge. Help me to never lose my awe and wonder of You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
“Who among the gods is like you, Lord? Who is like you—majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?” (Exodus 15:11).
