Solar Power for WATS
Today's story on Footsteps is truly amazing. What do I mean? From TWR's West Africa Transmitting Station (WATS), we are sending two massively powerful radio signals into several West African countries. From these two large transmitters, we are broadcasting the Gospel of Jesus, who is "the light of the world" (John 8:12), across what was once called "The Dark Continent." And what source of power are we using for our equipment? As we learn from Garth Kennedy on today's program, we are utilizing the light of the sun. We're using light to share The Light! We can even take this imagery one step farther--The Light is the One who created light.
"All things were made through him (Jesus), and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:3, ESV)
Now, before we wrap up this imagery of light, let's not forget this verse:
"The light shines in the darnkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." (John 1:5, ESV)
You see, no matter how dark the continent of Africa might be, as believers in Jesus, when we proclaim His name, we are guaranteed success!
