"Luke" is a church planter "in the Arab world," and on today's Footsteps, he describes the common responses that he gets from people as he shares the Good News of Jesus with them.  He categorizes their responses as red lights, yellow lights, and green lights.  The red light responses refer to those who "reject" the Gospel while the "yellow" and "green lights" are people who are open to hearing more.  "Luke" goes on to say, "We want to focus our time with the yellow and the green lights and not spend much time with the red lights."  Does that sound a little harsh?  Shouldn't we do our best to try to win everyone to Christ?

In Mark chapter 6 (ESV), Jesus "called the twelve and began to send them out two by two" (v. 7).  Notice his instructions concerning those who reject the disciples' message: "And if any place will not receive you and they will not listen to you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet as a testimony against them" (v. 11).  In the terminology of today's guest, those rejectors are "red lights," and it's biblically appropriate to move on to the "yellow" and "green lights."  In the context of evangelism, that's what Jesus clearly taught.
