Haiti is considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere,(1) but that has not always been the case.  According to the founder of TWR Women of Hope, Marli Spieker, "Haiti used to be the richest colony from France," and on today's Footsteps, Marli remembers a very special trip to that Caribbean country.  I encourage you to listen to today's program, and then pray for Haiti!
