I was born, raised, have lived and worked in the American South my entire life, and it's obvious that the Christian faith is part of our culture.  There are churches in every neighborhood, and the airwaves are full of Christian radio stations.  Now, I'm not saying that every Southerner is a Christian nor is every member of a church in the South a true believer in Jesus.  But I would argue that the great majority of people in southern states have some basic knowledge of Christianity.  That's not the case in many parts of our world.  In fact, on today's Footsteps, Bonnie Sala of Guidelines International Ministries takes us to some countries "where the Church is in its first generation."  That's where ministries like Guidelines and TWR, partnering together, can have a major impact!
