God divinely protected Daniel in the lion's den (Daniel 6).  He delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace (Daniel 3).  And then, there's the case of the angry mob in Nazareth that turned against Jesus:

"And all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage as they heard these things; and they got up and drove Him out of the city, and brought Him to the crest of the hill on which their city had been built, so that they could throw Him down from the cliff.  But He passed through their midst and went on His way." (Luke 4:28-29, NASB)

In this situation, the Heavenly Father rescued His Son, and Jesus simply walked through the middle of the crowd to safety.
