Abused and Bullied
In Jesus' Parable of the Great Banquet in Luke 14, when the invited guests "began to make excuses" (v. 18), "the master of the house became angry and said to his servant, 'Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in the poor and crippled and blind and lame'" (v. 21). The master went on to say, "Go out to the highways and hedges and compel people to come in, that my house may be filled" (v. 23). In the case of today's Footsteps, TWR's Marietjie Prollius gives us an example of taking the Gospel beyond the highways and hedges, to the rain forest of Central Africa, to the "abused and bullied" Baka people. After listening to today's program, please pray for TWR's outreach to these maginalized people.
