A Different Speech
"I never wanted to listen to the Word of God, ... but during the time I was listening to Thru The Bible, I realized that it was a different speech," wrote a TWR listener in Angola. TWR's Harry Bettig reads this man's letter on today's Footsteps. As you listen to his story, I hope you'll take this concept of using "different speech" to heart. I encourage you to show "the love of Jesus" to others as you share the Gospel with them. To better help, let me leave you with a few verses on this subject:
"He who loves purity of heart, and whose speech is gracious, will have the king as his friend." (Proverbs 22:11, ESV)
"Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person." (Colossians 4:6, ESV)
"Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us." (Titus 2:7-8, ESV)
